Well, I just tried to make a simple one-way H-Bridge for
motor control. It wasn't working so I felt the main
transistor, it burned my finger (hurts to type right now).
So I decided that that wasn't a good thing and pulled the plug for the night, to search for a different solution for my situation in the morning...

- I started out with robotics when I was on a First Lego League robotics team. In FLL (First Lego League) middle-school kids build robots using the Lego Mindstorms kit to complete a set of objectives. In our first year we won 1st place in the robotic competition, in our second year we won 3rd. Soon after my FLL team started a FIRST team (www.usfirst.org). This year (our first year) my team was picked by the 2nd placed team to be on their alliance. Our alliance won our matches in the quarter finals, but lost in the semi finals, but for a rookie team that was a huge accomplishment! As of right now I am attempting little projects with PIC controllers and Basic Stamps.

If you have any old laserjet printers lying around most of them have a seperate H-bridge, I used a couple of them on a simple mobile robot. But make sure you wire it up correctly of you'll make some magic smoke.
